Michael S. Goclowski, 78, of San Luis Obispo, died Friday, August 29, 1997, at a local care center after a lengthy illness.

At his request, cremation has taken place and his ashes will be scrattered at sea. 
No services will be held.

Mr. Goclowski was born in Atoona, Pa. He served 10 years in the Navy from
1936 to 1946. He was a member of Elk's Lodge No. 322.

He is survived by his wife, Elsie; daughters Tina Paxton of Fresno and Lorretta Goclowski of Sacramento; granddaughters Leah and Heather Paxton of Fresno; step children Sue Lipshen, Doug Carlson, Judy Fictner, Vicki Smith-Haddock and Connie Williams; and 18 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
