• 2nd Shift -- Worship with Attitude: Service starts at 5:00pm every Sunday. We begin with a meal, then move right into Praise and Worship music. We have a reading of Gods Word followed with a message. We wrap it up with some more Prasie and worship. Please come and join us and Worship the Lord! Come and be filled up Spiritually and physically!!!
  
  
• Christmas Tapestry , the Akron Community Choir Christmas musical was awesome! The Lord continues to bless this music ministry. Jim Saner will lead our Easter Musical-- May I Never Lose The Wonder Of The Cross. Plan now to come and watch this awesome presentation as we re-tell the true story of what Jesus did for us on the cross. There will be two performances: Saturday & Sunday March 27 & 28 at 7pm.

• Attention Jr/Sr High youth group: We are very excited to anounce that we as a cluster will be combining our youth groups. Our cluster consists of Akron, Beaver Dam, Burket and Mentone. Our first meeting will be September 20th at Burket; the meeting starts at 3:00pm - 4:45pm.Meet at AUMC for transportation.
  
  
• The AUMC Chancel Choir is very active! Mona Shepherd is our choir director, and we are having an awesome time singing praises to our Lord and Savior. If you enjoy singing, join us for choir rehearsals on Sunday evenings from 6:30-8:00 pm.

• Kid's Zone Youth Ministries/Study Tables will resume on Monday, September 14th. We will meet Monday through Thursday 3:30pm to 5:30pm. We are doing a whole new layout this year. We will start with homework then go into other activities, including a Bible lesson. Come and be blessed! If School is cancelled or not in session, so is Kid Zone. Contact Amber Edmondson at 574-268-7005 for more info. Volunteers needed!!!
  
  
• In July 2008, Mark, Lisa, Katie, Sam, Kyleigh,and Allen went on a mission trip to Costa Rica. Part of that trip centered around an "Iglesia Metodista" (Methodist Church) located in Los Guido.
