• Welcome Pastor Mimi Tucker!---On July 1 Pastor Mimi Tucker began her ministry as our new pastor. Welcome to Pastor Mimi, husband Dan, and children Noah, Ben and JaRon!
  
  
• AUMC Sanctuary Renovations!---Our sanctuary is now a construction zone! Soon we will have new carpet, refurbished pews, better lighting and lots more! The plan is to be back in the sanctuary by Sunday October 31 (leaving 4 Sundays in November to prepare for our Community Choir Christmas program). Join us as we worship in the Fellowship Hall! (9:30am Sunday School and 10:30am worship)
  
  
• Plans are now underway for the Akron Community Choir 2010 Christmas Musical. Mona Shepherd will lead us (and she has selected some awesome music!) Plan now to come and sing with us (or help with drama, staging, costumes, and a hundred other jobs). Our kick-off meeting is scheduled for Sunday October 3 at 6:30.

• The AUMC Chancel Choir is very active! Mona Shepherd is our choir director, and we are having an awesome time singing praises to our Lord and Savior. If you enjoy singing, join us for choir rehearsals on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:00 pm.

• Kid's Zone Youth Ministries/Study Tables meets Monday thru Thursday from 3:30-5:30pm. Watch for information about the fall starting date. Contact Amber Edmondson at 574-268-7005 for more info. Volunteers needed!!!
  
  
• In July 2008, Mark, Lisa, Katie, Sam, Kyleigh,and Allen went on a mission trip to Costa Rica. Part of that trip centered around an "Iglesia Metodista" (Methodist Church) located in Los Guido. There are some awesome ministries at Los Guido, one of which is a feeding program for children. Click on Los Guido Evangelica Metodista to learn how you can help!
