BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP

 

A community support program for people dealing with the loss of a loved one. The support group meetings are sponsored by both Hope Hospice and Woodlawn Hospital in Rochester, Indiana. The public is invited to attend.

 

Class Dates: 1st and 3rd Tuesday. Class Times: 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Cost: FREE. Location: Fulton County Public Library in Rochester, Meeting Room A. Refreshments will be provided.

March 9th—Embrace the uniqueness of your grief.

Grief journeys are never the same. What factors make your journey unique?

 

March 23rd—Recognize that you are not crazy.

Deep loss can be very disorienting. Find ways to normalize sometimes “crazy” thoughts and feelings.

 

April 6th—Avoid complicated grief.

What causes complicated grief? Learn how to recognize and manage the factors that influence this.

 

April 20th—Practice 10 self-compassionate principles.

Learn what "rights" you have as you move through the grieving process.

 

May 4th—Appreciate your transformation.

The journey through grief is life changing. Learn to recognize and appreciate the changes that can happen m you.

 

May 18th—Help a friend through grief.

Identify ways you can help another who is going through the grief process.
