Dear Friends of the USS OAKLAND (CL-95)

The United States Navy is in the process of Program LPD-17, Amphibious Transport Dock ship building. This class of ships is being named after United States cities, San Antonio (LPD-17) and New Orleans (LPD-18). Act now we might influence the Secretary of the Navy to name the next Navy ship of this class (LPD-19) "OAKLAND"! Please write the Secretary of the Navy today.

The Honorable Richard Danzig
